Taylor Decker, Detroit Lions agree to 3-year contract extension

Detroit Lions and starting left tackle Taylor Decker reached an agreement on a three-year, $60 million extension, Decker's agent announced on Monday.

Decker is entering the last year of his current deal and is scheduled to make $13.7 million in 2024. The extension keeps Decker under contract through the 2027 season. The extension includes $31.83 million in guaranteed money.

The deal was negotiated by Jonathan Feinsod and Shawn Lauvao of AMDG Sports. The deal was first reported by Feinsod.

Decker was the 16th overall pick in the first round of the 2016 draft out of Ohio State, and he immediately was the team's starting left tackle. He has been one of the teams' leaders throughout his tenure with the Lions.

Even though Decker allowed a career high eight sacks last season, he showed up in crunch time only allowing one sack between week 15 and through the postseason.

The Lions have already extended key pieces Jared Goff, Penei Sewell and Amon-Ra St. Brown earlier this offseason.
