Super Bowl 2023: More than 110 million people tuned in to watch Chiefs beat Eagles in record night for Fox

Super Bowl LVII was the most streamed event in Fox Sports history and the third-most watched TV show on record.

Rihanna’s halftime show was the second-most watched Super Bowl halftime show on record.

Sunday's showcase in Arizona turned out to be a record performance for Fox.

About 113 million people tuned in to watch the Kansas City Chiefs beat the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LVII, which made it the most-watched Super Bowl in six years, Fox announced Monday. The game was the most-streamed Super Bowl, too, up about 18% from last year’s game and 103% from the Super Bowl in 2020.

The game was also the third-most watched television show ever.

Kansas City narrowly beat Philadelphia for the top watching market. Those two were followed closely by Cincinnati, Detroit and Pittsburgh to round out the top five.

Rihanna’s halftime show beat the game’s ratings. The performance drew an average of 118.7 million viewers across all platforms, which made it the second-most watched halftime show on record. Only Katy Perry’s halftime show in 2015 drew better numbers.

Patrick Mahomes led the Chiefs to a 38-35 comeback win Sunday at State Farm Stadium, claiming the team's second championship in four years. Mahomes went 21-of-27 for 182 yards and threw three touchdowns to earn Super Bowl MVP honors.
