Studs and duds from Panthers' Week 7 loss to Commanders

The Carolina Panthers were never in command from the nation's capital this afternoon.

Nonetheless, let's find some studs to go along with the duds from Sunday's 40-7 loss to the Washington Commanders . . .

Stud: RB Chuba Hubbard

Hubbard came in having rushed for at least 92 yards in each of the last four games. He only reached 52 yards on 17 carries in this one, but worked hard to post Carolina's only touchdown of the game.

Dud: QB Andy Dalton

Dalton turned in his worst performance of the campaign, throwing for a season-low 93 yards and two interceptions. Over his last three starts, the 14th-year veteran has averaged 150.0 passing yards per game with two scores and five picks.

Stud: TE Ja'Tavion Sanders

The rookie notched a career-high 61 receiving yards on six grabs. Sanders has totaled 110 yards over the past two weeks.

Duds: Panthers WRs

Despite facing a struggling secondary, Carolina's wideouts combined for four catches and 30 receiving yards.

Dud: Panthers defense

The Commanders scored on seven of their nine possessions, with the ninth coming at the end of the game on kneel-downs. Washington, led by backup quarterback Marcus Mariota on eight of those touches, totaled 421 yards.

Harris tallied the lone sack on the afternoon for Carolina. He now leads the team in sacks through seven weeks (2.0).
