Steve Spurrier had the most nonsensical defense for picking Alabama to win the SEC

During a wild appearance on the Another Dooley Noted Podcast, former college football coach Steve Spurrier made some very inaccurate claims about his pick to win the SEC. 

Spurrier predicted Alabama to take the SEC this fall, which is totally fine and understandable. However, his reason was... a bit flawed.

However, he said he's a fan of "Jalen DeBoer" (a combination of quarterback Jalen Milroe and new coach Kalen DeBoer) and claimed that the team plays Texas early this season (there is no Texas game on Bama's schedule in the regular season).

For what it's worth, Spurrier also said he thinks Florida will win nine games this year, which, y'know, you can understand why since he coached there.
