Bijan Robinson now plays for the Atlanta Falcons, but the running back has not been forgotten at Texas.

While talking about 2024 Texas signee Christian Clark during his early signing day press conference Wednesday, Longhorns coach Steve Sarkisian brought up Robinson's name. Clark was one of two running backs signed by Texas this cycle.

"Christian Clark fits who we are offensively," Sarkisian said. "I jokingly said I remember writing my report up on him; I wrote 'Bijan Robinson' with a question mark. He almost looks like him. The way that he plays, the color of the uniforms. He runs the ball, he's got great balance and body control, he catches the ball extremely well out of the backfield. He's an extremely humble young man, great family. I just think he's a great fit for what we do systematically, but also from a culture standpoint."

That's high praise for Clark. Robinson won the 2022 Doak Walker Award and was the eighth overall pick in the 2023 NFL draft. His 3,410 career rushing yards at Texas rank No. 4 in school history.

Like Robinson, Clark is an Arizona native. Over three varsity seasons at Phoenix's Mountain Pointe High, the 6-foot, 195-pounder rushed for 1,890 yards and 24 touchdowns.

In addition to Clark, Texas signed Florida running back Jerrick Gibson. Both Clark and Gibson are four-star prospects. In the 247Sports composite rankings, Gibson and Clark were regarded as the Nos. 5 and 23 running back prospects in the country.
