Video Transcript

Stephen Curry was bound to have a moment, an Olympic moment, a golden moment in his first Olympics.

It was on him to close the door on a game, France team and a gold medal game.

One could even say the Warriors Star was golden.

He hit eight threes his only field goals of the night.

You could see it in the fourth quarter.

When France was getting close, the ball was coming to him.

Kevin Durant was giving him the ball.

Lebron James was getting on the ball and he was finding a way to square his shoulders and launch moon balls into the France night.

It was his moment, his moment in the sun, his moment amongst his peers, it offset an incredible game from Victor Wimba Yama who put the entire NBA on notice.

He put the entire fa on notice for the US.

They're on notice because lebron James, Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant won't be there in Los Angeles in 2028.

It'll be on the likes of the Devin Bookers and Anthony Edwards and maybe the Jason t who all stepped up in their own way throughout this entire run.

Gold was expected of the United States, only gold would be accepted for Steve Kerr.

All of his decisions would be maligned and dissected and criticized, but he seemed to push all the right buttons.

And for the United States, we finally got the moment, Kevin Durant starting lebron James with him, Stephen Curry.

There.

It was the moment that dreams are made of the moment we'll be talking about with our Children.

The same way that our forefathers talked about magic and Larry and Michael in 1992.

This didn't come as easy as 1992 but it was worth it.

You could see it in the joy and the elation of the U Ss players in the immediate aftermath.

You could see it in the joy as they stood on the metal stand, as the star spangled banner played.

It was an amazing moment that all will remember.

It was an amazing moment.

We'll never forget.
