Steph Curry and wife Ayesha will endorse Joe Biden at DNC on Thursday
Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry and his wife Ayesha are voting for Joe Biden and Kamala Harris in 2020. The Currys will officially endorse Biden and Harris at the Democratic National Convention on Thursday.
The Currys will announce their endorsement during a pre-recorded video with their two children. The Democratic National Convention put a short snippet of that video on YouTube on Thursday.
At the beginning of the clip, Ayesha says the family wants to “ensure that our kids live in a nation that is safe, happy, healthy and fair, and so this election ...” At that point, Steph steps in and says “we’re voting for Joe Biden.”
The full video will reportedly feature Steph asking his kids how they would feel about a woman being the vice president. His daughter Riley respond, “surprised and happy,” according to People.
The full video of the Currys will be shown at the Democratic National Convention on Thursday.
Steph Curry joins LeBron James with Joe Biden endorsement
Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James also announced his desire to campaign for Biden and Harris this year. James told Cari Champion and Jemele Hill on their new show Wednesday night, where James said he would “for sure” campaign for Biden and Harris. James campaigned for Hillary Clinton in 2016.
Both Curry and James have been critical of President Donald Trump during his tenure. During the 2018 NBA Finals, both Curry and James said they wouldn’t go to the White House if their team won a championship. When Trump got angry and rescinded the invitation, James called Trump a “bum.”
