Stefon Diggs says he's not responsible for brother's comments about Bills, Josh Allen
ORCHARD PARK - Trevon Diggs of the Dallas Cowboys once again brought unnecessary drama into the life of his brother Stefon earlier this week when he went on social media - where he certainly has a presence - and made the observation that Stefon needs to find a way to get out of Buffalo.
“Man 14 Gotta get up outta there” Trevon announced on X immediately after Stefon had season lows of three catches and 34 yards in the Bills’ 24-22 loss to the Broncos Monday night.
And then on Tuesday Trevon took a shot at Bills quarterback Josh Allen, saying, “Let’s not forget, he didn’t start going off till bro got there” apparently meaning that Allen was nothing until Stefon was acquired in a trade before the 2020 season.

Trevon, a cornerback for the Cowboys who has nothing better to do with his time these days because he’s out for the season following knee surgery, has chirped before about Stefon’s alleged dissatisfaction with Allen and his desire to leave Buffalo.
Those comments festered much of the offseason before Stefon flatly denied both things were true when he addressed the topic at training camp, the first time he had spoken to local reporters since late in the 2022 regular season.
Now, Trevon is stirring it up again. Thursday following practice, Stefon was left to answer questions, yet again, about whether there’s any truth to what his brother is once again saying - does he have an issue with Allen in particular and the Bills’ offense in general, and does he want to remain here?
“I love my brother,” Stefon said. “In the space that my brother’s coming from is my family. So you want to know how he feels, you got to take it up with him. Putting me in a position or me having a conversation with my brother, that’s outside, that’s in-house family rules.”
Well, OK, fine, but it wasn’t in house, it was posted on X for all the world to see. And it wasn’t the media who raised the issues of whether Stefon is truly happy in Buffalo, gets along with Allen, and is invested in the future of the team. His brother broached those subjects so it bears asking whether there’s any fire amid the smoke that keeps billowing from Trevon’s social media accounts.

“He’s not on this team, he’s not a part of the Buffalo Bills,” Stefon said. “My brother’s coming from a place of love or however he feels, he’s not a part of the Buffalo Bills. I try to handle things in-house or however you see fit, but I’m saying y’all are going to have to take it up with him and his comments. That’s still my guy 100%. But I can’t speak for him.”
Stefon then went into a rather convoluted diatribe that seemed to go in circles.
“I’ve repeatedly had to say the same thing to multiple people,” he began. “And I feel like y’all put me in a space where as though, where I really want to ask the question as to what y’all are feeling about the situation? How do y’all feel? Because, I feel like the less I say, the more they pry. Or when I address the situation it’s not enough. You want more information as to, well, ‘Speak more about it.’ I feel like I addressed it in training camp. I addressed it prior to that.”
Well, not really. He addressed at training camp, but he didn’t address it before that. And because he didn’t, his cryptic silence when these rumors about his alleged rift with Allen and the Bills began to surface only fed the belief that they were true. Finally, at camp at St. John Fisher University, he said none of it was true.
Thursday’s word salad continued.

“I sat down with kind of everybody here (the media) around training camp and felt like I nipped it in the bud as to how I felt or what I was feeling,” he said. “But here we are again. Here we are revisiting a topic about how I feel. I play with confidence, I go in with confidence, I prepare each and every week. I’ve always been a professional. I’ve never really said anything about being unhappy or any instance of that. So when you’re drawing conclusions as to stuff I’ve never said, that’s what kind of troubles me because it kind of throws a wrench in it.”
No one was drawing conclusions besides his brother.
“It kind of creates chaos where I haven’t created,” Stefon went on. “Chaos created around me, whereas I just been in the same space. I’ve been in the same place and I’ve spoken true words. I’ve said the same thing over and over and over. So when you draw a conclusion as to how I feel in my foreseeable future here, I’ve never said anything but I was a Buffalo Bill. I gave it everything I got. I’m a professional and I treat this game as such.”
Stefon Diggs on whether or not he’s fully invested in the Buffalo Bills now and in the future

No reporter, at least in the local group that I know, had asked Stefon a single question about how he feels about Allen, the offense, or his future with the Bills since that sit down at training camp.
As he said, he nipped it in the bud right there and that has sufficed because since then, he has appeared to be all in on this season, and as proof he’s having one of the best years of his career as he’s tied for the league lead with 73 receptions.
Maybe, if he no longer wants to talk about these issues - whether they’re real or a figment of his brother’s imagination - he should tell Trevon to mind his own business and concentrate on his recovery and rehab from knee surgery.
