Steelers make roster moves in secondary ahead of preseason opener with Texans
Safety Jalen Elliott is back with the Pittsburgh Steelers, the team announced on Thursday.
Elliott spent time with the Steelers last summer and was on the practice squad during the season, but was released earlier this year after signing linebacker Tyler Matakevich.
Elliott spent his first two seasons on and off the practice squad with the Detroit Lions who signed him as an undrafted free agent in 2020. After being waived in 2022, Elliot spent parts of that season with the New England Patriots and part with the Las Vegas Raiders.
To make room on the roster, Pittsburgh waived defensive back Nate Meadors (hamstring) with an injury designation.
