Le'Veon Bell live tweets Steelers-Panthers game; owner Art Rooney expects him to report
Opinions abound over the mystery of what Le’Veon Bell plans to do ahead of next week’s deadline to sign with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Now we’ve heard from team owner Art Rooney II, and he anticipates Bell rejoining the team.
Steelers owner expects Bell back
“I don’t know what his plans are, but I would say that at this point we expect him to come back next week,” Rooney told SiriusXM NFL Radio on Thursday. “We know he’s back in Pittsburgh, and so we’re hoping to have some communications with him over the weekend, and we’re kind of expecting he will be back next week.”

Rooney guessing with the rest of us
Of course, none of this sheds any light on what Bell plans to do. What it does confirm is that Rooney and the Steelers are reading Bell’s tea leaves along with the rest of us, speculating over cryptic tweets and pickup basketball games in Pittsburgh in guessing his next move.
Bell’s not ignoring the Steelers, and gave a Twitter shout-out to JuJu Smith-Schuster for his 75-yard touchdown catch against the Carolina Panthers during Thursday night’s game.

He has until Tuesday to sign with the Steelers, or he won’t be eligible to play the rest of the season.
