Steelers HC Mike Tomlin discloses groin injury for Alex Highsmith
The Pittsburgh Steelers came off an off-day on Tuesday, which ended with a groin injury to outside linebacker Alex Highsmith.
After practice, Mike Tomlin touched on Highsmith's injury among the "laundry list of training camp-like injuries" but did not go into detail.
While we await word on the severity, we can't help but think back to 2023 training camp. Defensive tackle Cameron Heyward first started dealing with groin issues at practice, ultimately tearing off the bone in Pittsburgh's Week 1 loss to the San Fransisco 49ers.
Heyward was never the same upon returning from injured reserve in Week 9.
Let's hope it's just a tweak and nothing more.
