Steelers GM Omar Khan should be knocking down 49ers’ door for WR Brandon Aiyuk
It’s no secret that the Pittsburgh Steelers’ most glaring weakness is at wide receiver. Trading away their top playmaker, Diontae Johnson, left a void Pittsburgh has yet to fill.
As it currently stands, the Steelers head into training camp next week with third-year veteran George Pickens holding onto the WR1 role. It’s not a role he’s earned, but given the lack of talent behind him, he’s Pittsburgh’s only option.
If Omar Khan wasn’t on the phone with 49ers general manager John Lynch the moment Aiyuk requested a trade, he’s doing a disservice to the potential for a competitive Steelers 2024 offense.
