Steelers C Maurkice Pouncey has a strong reaction to CBA proposal: 'Bullsh-- ass deal'
Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson had a strong but measured response to the NFL’s collective bargaining agreement proposal. He voted no.
Pittsburgh Steelers center Maurkice Pouncey voted no, as well. He wasn’t as calm.
Pouncey went off on a NSFW rant, apparently filming a video while driving without a shirt on, saying he and his brother, Mike, will vote no against the CBA offer from the league. He called out the union’s leaders.
Maurkice Pouncey unhappy with CBA proposal
Pouncey, an eight-time Pro Bowler who has been with the Steelers since 2010, said he will vote no. It wasn’t a simple no vote, either.
“F--- that s---,” Pouncey, one of the Steelers’ union reps, said in the video that was posted to Instagram. “Our NFLPA, the dudes at the top, the leaders, man that s--- is all f---ing bulls---. F--- that. They ain’t looking out for the best of the players.”
Here’s the video from Pouncey’s Instagram stories, captured by Steelers Depot, and it contains a lot of swearing:

Pouncey tried to ease the short-term concerns of younger players.
“If any player on any one of our teams, if y’all hurting for rent money or anything while we go through this lockout, call us,” Pouncey said. “Man, we got way more money than what they had back in the days.”
Pouncey called for the league’s veterans to “stand the f--- up.” He expressed that he cared about the younger players. Pouncey had already voiced his opposition to expanding the regular season with a 17th game to Mark Kaboly of The Athletic in October.
“(The owners) already get enough,” Pouncey told Kaboly. “Quit being greedy. The game is already great. If you want to do anything, make it safer. They are greedy. Greedy. They want more money and they are already billionaires.”
Prominent voices like J.J. Watt, Wilson and Pouncey have spoken out against the proposal. ESPN’s Adam Schefter said San Francisco 49ers cornerback Richard Sherman was arguing against the CBA last week, and Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers objected to it Tuesday night.
The CBA was sent to the players for a vote, but if it passes, it will be far from a consensus.
