The New Orleans Saints are coming off of their fifth straight loss after a Thursday Night blow out to Sean Payton's Broncos. The team's run defense has become an alarming weakness of the team while the talent on offense continues to erode due to injuries.

Falling to 2-5 on the season with little help on the way, puts the Saints in a tough spot going forward. With a long week to prepare for Sunday's game against the Chargers, could in theory give them a bit of a recharge to get back on track. With the Bucs and the Falcons both taking losses in Week 7, the team is still only two games back in the division. Hope may be lost, but things are very much alive in the South.

Here's where the NFC South stands after Week 7:

1. Atlanta Falcons (4-3)
