Spike Lee is very happy the Knicks fired Phil Jackson
Phil Jackson is officially out as the New York Knicks’ president of basketball operations, and no one is happier than Knicks mega-fan Spike Lee.
The producer, director and actor posted a photo on Instagram hours after the news of Jackson’s firing came in, and the message Spike sent wasn’t subtle.

Spike has never been shy about his thoughts on the Knicks, telling ESPN’s Steve Zeng back in February that if he had to choose between Phil Jackson and Carmelo Anthony, “I’ll pack Phil’s bags for him” and “I think I still believe in Carmelo, but Phil Jackson is making it very difficult for him.”
Spike isn’t the only Knicks fan excited about Jackson’s firing. Scores of fans on social media have expressed their happiness for the move.
