Spencer Rattler saw it all at Oklahoma and South Carolina. The New Orleans Saints rookie quarterback competed against some of the best programs in the country before turning pro in this year's NFL draft, but some opponents stand apart from the rest. He looks back fondly on some historic victories and can only shake his head in disappointment at some opportunities that got away from him and his teammates.

Rattler reflected on his college football career and the most challenging environments he faced in a recent video with the Saints social media team. Here were his picks for the five toughest -- and loudest -- places to visit:

1. Florida

"Got to put Florida," Rattler began. "Florida was a tough place to play. We didn't win that game, that's a tough one."

Rattler has played Florida at home, on the road, and at a neutral site in the 2020 Cotton Bowl, winning two of the three. But he says "The Swamp" is different. Having 88,000 Gators fans doing "the chomp" at you, specifically, is a unique experience. South Carolina was steamrolled in that 2022 meeting by a lopsided 38-6 margin.

2. Tennessee

Rattler's second-toughest road trip? That was Neyland Stadium in Knoxville: "Tennessee at night. They did a blackout, flew the jets all over. Pretty crazy game."

South Carolina kept it close at first, even holding onto an early lead until the Volunteers punched in a go-ahead score from two yards out with 42 seconds left in the first quarter. Then it was all Tennessee. The Vols poured it on with a field goal, a pick-six off of Rattler, and a couple of touchdowns to win a 41-20 landslide.

3. Georgia

"We played Georgia at noon, between the hedges. Should've beat 'em, but they got us. That was a tough place to play," Rattler said.

The Bulldogs lived up to their reputation when Rattler's South Carolina team visited in 2023. He was held to just 256 passing yards and threw more interceptions (2) than touchdowns (1) in a lopsided 24-14 loss on the road.

4. Clemson

Now this was a win Rattler was happy about, having taken down an in-state rival: "You know, we beat them, (in) their house. Snapped a 40-game win streak. That was a tough place to play to play at noon as well, we won that one."

The unranked Gamecocks won this by the narrowest of margins: 31-30. Rattler was intercepted twice but he still threw for 360 yards with two much-needed touchdown passes, plus a touchdown run. His future teammate Bryan Bresee happened to be lining up against him.

5. Kansas State

"And then let's go back to the Big 12," Rattler said. "K-State. Pretty cool environment, tough environment, we won that game too though."

Rattler visited Bill Snyder Family Football Stadium in 2021 with Oklahoma, and it proved to be a shootout. The Sooners left with a 37-31 victory after Rattler threw for a smooth 243 passing yards, having completed 22 of 25 attempts. He scored two touchdown passes but also threw an interception, and gained 24 rushing yards and 8 carries. Lincoln Riley's defense, coordinated by Alex Grinch, gave up 420 yards of offense to the Wildcats.
