South Carolina women's basketball to play TCU in neutral site event at Dickies Arena on Dec. 8

South Carolina women's basketball has added another neutral site game to its non-conference schedule for the 2024-25 season against a Power 5 opponent.

On Thursday, the Gamecocks announced on X (formerly Twitter) that it will be traveling to Forth Worth, Texas on Saturday, Dec. 8 to take on the Big 12's TCU in the Hoopfest Women's Basketball Classic at Dickies Arena. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. ET.

"We are extremely excited to bring Dawn Staley and the college women's basketball national champions, the South Carolina Gamecocks, to Fort Worth," CEO of GS Global Sports, the company putting on the event, Glenn Smith said in a statement. "I believe (TCU) coach (Mark) Campbell is building something special over at TCU and we expect a sold-out crowd and an amazing game."

The Horned Frogs went 21-12 overall last season under coach Mark Campbell, finishing 6-12 in the Big 12. South Carolina will face a pair of familiar faces in Haily Van Lith and Maddie Scherr, who transferred to TCU from LSU and Kentucky over the offseason respectively.

It is the fourth neutral site event that Dawn Staley's squad — who returns Te-Hina Paopoa, Raven Johnson and MiLaysia Fulwiley — will play in this upcoming season. The Gamecocks will begin the season in Las Vegas in the Hall of Fame Series against Michigan.

South Carolina is coming off its third national championship title in 2024, where it became the 10th team in women's basketball history to go a perfect 38-0 on the season.
