South Carolina baseball snapped its six-game losing streak and defeated No. 7 seed Alabama 10-5 to open the SEC tournament Tuesday in Hoover, Alabama.
Now the No. 10 seed Gamecocks (34-21) face No. 2 seed Arkansas (43-12) on Wednesday (2 p.m., SEC Network) to begin the double-elimination format of the tournament.
In April, the No. 4 ranked Razorbacks took the series 2-1 in Columbia.
