Sources: Timberwolves reach agreement with Jeff Teague
Free-agent guard Jeff Teague has reached agreement on a three-year, $57 million contract with the Minnesota Timberwolves, league sources told The Vertical.
The deal includes a third-year player option.
Teague was a primary target for the Timberwolves after the organization traded Ricky Rubio to the Utah Jazz on Friday.
Teague, an All-Star in 2015, has averaged 12.6 points, 5.5 assists and 2.4 rebounds in eight NBA seasons with Indiana and Atlanta. He’ll provide Minnesota with a solid point guard alongside Jimmy Butler, Andrew Wiggins and Karl Anthony-Towns.
The Timberwolves are exploring the market for a reserve forward and have interest in Golden State free agent Andre Iguodala, league sources said.
