Sources: Kyle O’Quinn agrees to 1-year, $4.5M deal with Pacers
Free-agent center Kyle O’Quinn has agreed to a one-year, $4.5 million deal with the Indiana Pacers, league sources told Yahoo Sports.
O’Quinn declined his $4.2 million player option with the New York Knicks to enter free agency, and the 6-foot-10 big man is expected to now bolster the Pacers’ frontcourt.
Indiana is coming off a 48-34 season and has continued to build around All-Star Victor Oladipo and center Myles Turner, signing Doug McDermott and Tyreke Evans for playmaking and shooting depth.
O’Quinn averaged 7.1 points, 6.1 rebounds, 1.3 blocks and 18 minutes in 77 games last season. He has played six NBA seasons, his first three for the Orlando Magic and the previous three for New York.
