Golden State Warriors All-Star Klay Thompson is expected to return before the end of the month from a fractured right thumb, league sources told Yahoo Sports.

Thompson suffered the injury to his shooting hand in the Warriors’ loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves on Sunday and is expected to miss at least four games.

The Warriors are already without All-Star point guard Stephen Curry, who has missed two games because of a right ankle injury and is expected to be out until next week.

Thompson, a four-time All-Star and two-time champion, has averaged 19.7 points and 3.8 rebounds in 66 games this season, while shooting 44.3 percent from 3-point range. The Warriors have taken a cautious approach with injuries as the postseason nears. Draymond Green and David West are also dealing with injuries, while Andre Iguodala is close to a return from a sprained wrist.

Golden State is currently 51-16 and two games behind top-seeded Houston Rockets in the Western Conference.
