Social Media reacts to Texas A&M football's 52-10 win over McNeese
It's hard to complain about a 42-point win no matter who the opponent is especially when you pull key starts at halftime. However, yes, we can still enjoy a win and have a few "observations" as well.
On Saturday afternoon, the Texas A&M Aggies did exactly what everyone thought they would do: beat an FCS in McNeese State by a large margin. After losing a defensive battle last week against Notre Dame, the offense missed several opportunities, especially in the passing game. While it looked much better against the Cowboys, you can tell there is still work to be done.
The running game on the other hand was pretty dominant racking up 333 yards and 5 touchdowns. Outside of a few plays that were not blocked particularly well, it's still a big improvement over last season. So, it took the second-team offense and defense both looked a little bit to get their footing and got in some very available reps heading into SEC play.
Below are some social media reactions to Aggie's win over McNeese for Mike Elko's first victory as head coach of the Texas A&M football team.

Big win at Kyle Field
Texas A&M defeats McNeese State 52-10 👍
The Aggies’ first win of the season, as well as the first under Mike Elko. Really solid showing at Kyle Field before heading to the Swamp for an SEC matchup with the Gators next weekend.— Jaxson Callaway (AT) (@AggiesToday) September 7, 2024

The starting offense looked much better this week as expected
Texas A&M handles McNeese St. winning 52-10!! The game pretty much went exactly how you would hope it would!
Starting offense scored a TD every possession they had, that’ll work!— Aggie Sports 365 (@365Aggie) September 7, 2024
Conner looked better but some people are still worried
Idk if that was enough Conner for me to be feeling great going into Florida next week. Feels odd pulling him this early.

The rushing game was on point today
The last time Texas A&M had 330+ yards on the ground?
It was December 31, 2018, against NC State, where Trayveon Williams helped put up 401 in the Gator Bowl: https://t.co/5EvIG3RZwT— Kay Naegeli (@KayNaegeli) September 7, 2024
