Social media reacts to Steven Milam walk-off home run for LSU baseball in NCAA Tournament

The Legend of Steven Milam continues in Baton Rouge.

Facing a potential first-round loss in the Chapel Hill Regional to No. 3 seed Wofford, No. 2 seed LSU fell back on its bread and butter to get itself back in, and eventually win, the game: The long ball.

And Milam played a big part in just that.

Already with one home run on the afternoon — coming in the seventh inning — the Tigers freshman infielder launched a 3-2 fastball just over the right field fence at Boshamer Stadium Friday to complete the come-from-behind 4-3 win over the Terriers to advance LSU in the winners' bracket of the Chapel Hill Regional.

It is the second walk-off home run in a week for Milam, who hit a two-run shot last Saturday at Hoover Met Stadium against South Carolina to send LSU back to the SEC Baseball Tournament Championship Game. Milam's home run then capped off erasing an 8-0 deficit to the Gamecocks, a similar theme to what the Las Cruces, New Mexico native and the Tigers did on Friday against Wofford, this time erasing a 3-0 deficit.

A week later, Milam's heroics Friday advances LSU one step closer to its chase of becoming the first team since South Carolina to repeat as national champions. Milam finished 2-for-4 at the plate against Wofford with two RBIs and two runs scored.
