Social media reacts to the Milwaukee Bucks selecting AJ Johnson in the 2024 NBA draft
The Milwaukee Bucks chose AJ Johnson with the 23rd overall pick in the NBA draft on Wednesday.
The selection was a bit of a surprise, considering he had been regarded as a developmental project and not an instant contributor.
ESPN's Jonathan Givony said Johnson, 19, needs time while his "frame and game continue to develop."
Johnson, from Fresno, California, played in the National Basketball League in Australia last season. His modest averages − 2.9 points, 1.3 rebounds, and 0.7 assists − drew some negative reactions from fans across social media.
As a Bucks fan can you help me understand the Aj Johnson pick?

At 23 the Milwaukee #Bucks pick AJ Johnson, G, Illawarra Hawks. Good kid, but i have NO idea how he fits the “win now” equation??!! 🤔🤷🏻♂️ #NBADraft2024 @ESPNNBA

AJ Johnson to Milwaukee is def the biggest steal of the draft so far. Crazy value for a team like that at 23.

I will say, the one thing I really appreciate about AJ Johnson is he may be skinny, but he wants to dunk on EVERYONE.
