Will Shipley headlines players with South Carolina ties who will take part in NFL combine
CLEMSON — The 2024 NFL scouting combine starts Monday at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, and Clemson running back Will Shipley headlines the 12 participants with South Carolina ties who will attend the event.
Shipley, who departed after three seasons, is in the top 10 in school history in total touchdowns (33), rushing touchdowns (31) and all-purpose yards (4,253). In 2022, he became the first player in conference history to be selected first-team All-ACC in three categories (running back, all-purpose and specialist).
Shipley was among the 321 prospects invited to the event that will take place from Feb. 26 through March 4. Players will try to boost their stock ahead of the NFL draft (April 25-27) by participating in on- and off-field activities, such as the 40-yard dash, bench press, position drills, vertical jump and team interviews. They also will receive medical examinations and injury evaluations.
