Sexy time: Patriots' Rob Gronkowski excited to discuss team TD record
In many ways, New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski is a big, goofy kid, with an almost admirable joie de vivre that has led to his teammate Tom Brady declaring that Gronk never has a bad day.
Gronkowski proved that again on Sunday evening. In the second half of the Patriots’ 27-16 win in Pittsburgh, Gronkowski scored his second touchdown of the season. The score was also his 68th with the Patriots (67 receiving, one rushing), tying him with Stanley Morgan for the franchise record.
For comparison, Sunday was Gronkowski’s 85th career game; Morgan needed 180 games in a New England uniform to hit that number.
But what really excited Gronkowski wasn’t tying the team record – it was the thought of breaking the team record:
"Rob Gronkowski, you just tied the New England Patriots franchise record with 68 touchdowns!"

The giggle at the end is classic, like a kid who just got away with saying something he knows he’s not supposed to say.
Never change, Gronk.
