Senior Bowl 2024: Here are 11 players for Miami Dolphins (and you) to scout

The Dolphins hold two of the first 55 picks in the next NFL Draft, which is a nice change of pace and also necessary as key replacements will be needed.

Miami is slated to pick 21st overall, in the first round.

And they're scheduled to pick 55th overall, in the second round.

After that, Miami does not pick until 156th overall, in the fifth round.

At the Senior Bowl in Mobile, Ala., Dolphins general manager Chris Grier and his scouting staff will evaluate practices on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

Practices will be televised and highlighted on NFL Network and ESPN. So there's a chance for you to do some scouting, too.

Dolphins legend Dan Marino will be honored this week as a member of the Senior Bowl's 75th anniversary team.

Here are 11 players we think the Dolphins should scout closely:

T/G Troy Fautanu, Washington

The skinny: Could start at guard and move to tackle. Athletic and sturdy.

ESPN rank: No. 26 overall.

DT T’Vondre Sweat, Texas

The skinny: This run-stopper would help offset potential Christian Wilkins/Raekwon Davis losses.

ESPN rank: No. 27 overall.

C Graham Barton, Duke

The skinny: Can play every OL position and can pull and plays with chip.

ESPN rank: No. 37 overall.

C Jackson Powers-Johnson, Oregon

The skinny: Athletic. Physical. He or Barton are options to replace Connor Williams.

ESPN rank: No. 57 overall.

Edge Laiatu Latu, UCLA

The skinny: Like Jaelan Phillips, this 6-foot-5, 265-pound edge rusher once medically retired (neck injury in 2019). He had 23.5 sacks in two years at UCLA.

ESPN rank: No. 12 overall (pending medicals).

Edge Chris Braswell, Alabama

The skinny: Motor. Strength. Possible second-rounder had 8 sacks in 2023.

ESPN rank: No. 42 overall.

CB Quinyon Mitchell, Toledo

The skinny: Small-school interception machine could be fast-riser.

ESPN rank: No. 25 overall

TE Theo Johnson, Penn State

The skinny: Johnson is 6-foot-6, 260 pounds, featuring size and athleticism.

ESPN rank: No. 84 overall.

WR Xavier Legette, South Carolina

The skinny: At 6-foot-3, 220 pounds, the potential second-rounder is a big body.

ESPN rank: No. 40 overall.

The skinny: He's 6-foot-7, 326 pounds, agile and tough.

ESPN rank: No. 31 overall.

The skinny: Fuaga is 6-foot-6, 334 pounds, allowing one sack in his 25-start career at right tackle.
