SEE IT: Mets fans at Citi Field watch party react to Pete Alonso's go-ahead home run

Pete Alonso's go-ahead home run in the ninth inning of the Mets' 4-2 win over the Milwaukee Brewers Thursday sent New York fans back home at the Citi Field watch party in a frenzy.

With two on and one out, Alonso lined a 3-1 changeup against Devin Williams over the right-field wall and put the Mets up 3-2.

New York added an insurance run on Starling Marte's two-out RBI single through the right side, pushing the Mets ahead 4-2 before David Peterson closed the bottom of the ninth.

Alonso's 1-for-4 effort in a winner-take-all Game 3 sets New York up for an NLDS matchup with the Philadelphia Phillies.

"I mean, man, this is something you practice in the backyard as a kid," Alonso told ESPN on the field after the game. "I'm just happy to come through for the boys.

"I mean, we've worked really hard all year. I mean, I had some great at-bats in front of me. I'm really happy I got to come through for the team right there."
