Seattle Seahawks general manager John Schneider is always searching for ways to improve his active roster and practice squad. As a result, the Seahawks worked out six players on Tuesday, according to a report from NFL insider Aaron Wilson. They were quarterback Ian Book, wide receivers Denzel Mims, Jaelen Gill, Tanner Knue, and Myles Boykin, and cornerback Tyler Hall.

Mims was a second-round pick of the New York Jets in the 2020 NFL Draft that hasn't met expectations. He was most recently with the Jacksonville Jaguars. Gill was a UDFA out of Fresno State that produced 516 receiving yards and six touchdowns for the Bulldogs in 2023. He played in all three preseason games with the Los Angeles Chargers in August.

Knue was also a rookie UDFA, with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He played collegiately at Eastern Michigan. Knue accumulated nine receptions for 86 yards and one touchdown in three exhibition appearances.

Book may be the most intriguing workout participant. The former Notre Dame standout was drafted in the fourth round by the New Orleans Saints in 2020, but only lasted his rookie campaign in NOLA. He's since become a veteran journeyman. The Seahawks are well-stocked at quarterback with Geno Smith and Sam Howell.

Boykin was a 2019 third-round selection of the Baltimore Ravens. He's appeared in 73 career NFL games with 38 receptions for 498 yards and seven touchdowns. He'd be an experienced addition to the practice squad.
