Rutgers started the drive at the Akron 4 after safety Shaquan Loyal intercepted a Ben Finley pass at the Akron 48 and returned it 24 yards.

Kaliakmanis hits tight end Kenny Fletcher for a nine-yard touchdown pass and it's 42-10 Rutgers.
3Q, 3:14: Athan Kaliakmanis with a long TD throw to Chris Long
On second-and-6 from the Rutgers 42, Kaliakmanis threw deep down the field and hit Long in stride for a 58-yard scoring pass.
It's 35-10 Rutgers.
3Q, 4:56: Kyle Monangai scores his third touchdown of the the game
Monangai runs it in from two yards out to give Rutgers a 28-10 lead.
The Don Bosco Prep product has rushed for 204 yards on 26 carries.

Ben Finley throws a 32-yard touchdown pass to Adrian Norton to cut Rutgers' lead to 21-10.
2Q, 1:54: Rutgers builds its lead as KJ Duff picks up first career touchdown
Athan Kaliakmanis hits KJ Duff for a six-yard touchdown pass and it's 14-3 Rutgers.
Rutgers got help from a holding call on Akron that turned a second-and-goal from the 13 into a first-and-goal at the 6.
2Q, 5:04: Kyle Monangai hits the 100-yard mark
Monangai went 62 yards on third-and-3 from the Rutgers 32 to get down to the 6-yard line.
With that run, Monangai earned his 10th-career 100-yard game.

Garrison Smith kicks a 41-yard field goal to slice Rutgers' lead to 7-3.
DE Jordan Thompson made a big stop for a loss of four on the previous play when the Zips had third-and-7 from the Rutgers 20.
