Russell Wilson reacts to Wisconsin's upset win over 1-seed Purdue in Big Ten Tournament

Wisconsin basketball lives another day in the Big Ten tournament.

And the Badgers did it by upsetting the Big Ten Tournament 1 seed — and No. 3 team in the country — Purdue. They beat the Boilermakers 76-75 in overtime thanks in part to junior guard Max Klesmit, who drained the game-winning bucket off the backboard in the game's final seconds.

It's the first time Wisconsin has punched its ticket to the title game since 2017, when it eventually lost to Michigan.

Naturally, when one beats a team of Purdue's stature it draws a lot of reaction across the college basketball world on social media. You can add former Wisconsin and Super Bowl-winning quarterback Russell Wilson to that list. The now-Pittsburgh Steeler went to X (formerly known as Twitter) after the game to congratulate his alma mater.

"Wisconsin! What a game! @BadgerMBB," Wilson wrote.

Wisconsin will now play for its fourth Big Ten Tournament title on Sunday at 2:30 p.m. CT against either 2-seed Illinois or 3-seed Nebraska. The Badgers have not been the automatic qualifier out of the Big Ten for the NCAA Tournament since 2015, when they beat Michigan State 80-69 in overtime.
