Rutgers football vs. Wisconsin: Score, live updates from Madison
MADISON, Wisc. − Rutgers football has a big opportunity today.
The Scarlet Knights will face Wisconsin today (noon ET, Peacock) looking to win their fifth game of the season and tie the program's best start to a campaign since they went 5-1 in 2014.
Not that it will be easy to beat Wisconsin, which is coming off a bye.
The Badgers have lost just one game, and that came against 13th-ranked Washington. They're well-coached, and Greg Schiano earlier this week spoke highly about Luke Fickell, whom he worked with for one year on Urban Meyer's staff at Ohio State in 2016.
Wisconsin has a productive, up-tempo offense under new coordinator and New Jersey native Phil Longo, along with a pretty stout defense that so far has seven interceptions in just four games. That means Rutgers quarterback Gavin Wimsatt needs to be especially accurate today.

2Q, 00:4: Wisconsin pick six
Brutal turn of events for Rutgers.

It's 17-0 Badgers.
2Q, 4:28: Wisconsin adds to its lead
Braelon Allen runs it in from 18 yards out for the first touchdown of the game, capping a six-play, 39-yard scoring drive.
It's 10-0 Badgers.
Wisconsin got the ball back after Max Melton forced a Badgers fumble at the Rutgers 4 and recovered. But the Scarlet Knights went three-and-out.
Rutgers' offense hasn't been able to get anything going today.
1Q, 11:49: Wisconsin takes a 3-0 lead
The Badgers are on the board courtesy of a 39-yard field goal by Nathaniel Vakos.
Wisconsin had a good drive going and got down to the Rutgers 21 with the help of a Max Melton pass interference penalty. But three straight incomplete passes by Tanner Mordecai forced the Badgers to settle for a field goal.
