After recording two interceptions in the Cleveland Browns' preseason game against the Washington Commanders, the former Ohio State safety recorded his third interception in two games, taking an overthrown pass from Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Marcus Mariota intended for tight end Grant Calcaterra.

In three preseason games, Hickman has eight tackles and three pass deflections along with his three interceptions.

"You can't do your job unless you know your job, and he's a young man that really works hard at knowing what to do, so that puts him position," Browns coach Kevin Stefanski said after Hickman's two-interception day against the Commanders. "And I think he has really good ball skills."
Hickman exited the Browns' 18-18 tie against the Eagles with a possible concussion and did not return.
Hickman was an undrafted free agent signing after the 2023 NFL draft after recording 82 tackles, 2.5 tackles-for-loss, a sack and seven pass deflections in three seasons at Ohio State. In 28 college games, Hickman had three interceptions with the Buckeyes.
