A woman has accused NBA point guard Rajon Rondo of threatening her with a gun in front of her children during an altercation in her Louisville, Kentucky, home, according to multiple reports.

TMZ and ESPN reported on Monday that the woman filed for an emergency protective order on Friday, claiming that she fears for hers and her children's safety while citing a history of "volatile, erratic (and) explosive behavior" from Rondo. Per the reports, a judge granted the request, ordering Rondo to remain 500 feet away from the woman and her children and to temporarily surrender any firearms to the Jefferson County Sheriff.

TMZ reports that Rondo has not been arrested, charged or named a suspect in a crime. Rondo hasn't addressed the allegation publicly. His representatives didn't respond to TMZ and ESPN requests for comment.

What Rondo's accused of

Per the protective order, the woman said that Rondo was playing a video game with her son when she asked her child to help with laundry. Rondo then ripped the video game console from the wall and smashed multiple items including a teacup and outdoor lights before leaving the house, according to the order.

The woman says that Rondo then returned to the house with a gun, told her "you're dead" and demanded to see her son. She says that she got her son from upstairs and that Rondo proceeded to yell at him after taking him outside while still holding the gun, per the reports. She says he then demanded to see her daughter outside as well, and that he yelled at her too.

Per the protective order, the woman eventually called ex-interim Louisville Metro Police chief Yvette Gentry, who arrived at the house. She said that Rondo wouldn't let Gentry into the house when she arrived as she locked herself and her children inside. Per the order, Gentry eventually told the woman that Rondo had left the property and that she had possession of his gun.

NBA spokesman Mike Bass released a statement in response to the initial TMZ report.

“We are aware of the report and are in the process of gathering more information,” the statement reads per ESPN's Malika Andrews.

Rondo, 36, is a Louisville native who played in college at Kentucky. A 16-season NBA veteran, Rondo played for the Los Angeles Lakers last season before finishing the season with the Cleveland Cavaliers after a midseason trade. He's slated to be an unrestricted free agent this offseason.
