Report: Bucs WR Chris Godwin expected to miss time with hamstring injury after recovering from ACL tear
Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Chris Godwin is expected to miss time with a hamstring strain sustained in Sunday's win over the Dallas Cowboys, NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reports. Godwin could be sidelined "a few weeks," according to the report.
Godwin, who spent the offseason recovering from an ACL injury, injured his hamstring in the first half of Sunday's game and didn't return after halftime. He appeared to sustain the injury to the same right leg that required ACL surgery.

Godwin was initially listed as questionable for the game because of the prior ACL injury before the Bucs activated him on Sunday. Pelissero adds that Godwin's surgically repaired knee did not sustain further damage.
Godwin, a 2019 Pro Bowler, led the Bucs with 98 catches for 1,103 yards in 2021 despite the ACL tear sustained in Week 15 cutting his season short. Prior to his injury on Sunday, he caught three passes on seven targets for 35 yards. Tampa Bay's offense was limited to one touchdown in the 19-3 win that saw its defense and running back Leonard Fournette set the tone. Fournette tallied 127 yards on 21 carries in the win.
The Bucs are slated for an NFC South matchup against the New Orleans Saints in Week 2 before games against the Green Bay Packers and Kansas City Chiefs in Weeks 3 and 4.
