Raiders defensive end Khalil Mack not expected to report to minicamp this week
The Oakland Raiders are not expecting defensive end Khalil Mack to show up for mandatory minicamp this week, the NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported on Monday.

Mack was set to earn $13.846 million this season under the fifth-year option of his rookie deal. Mack has been seeking a new deal — reportedly worth more than $65 million guaranteed — this offseason, and skipped the team’s voluntary workouts in April.
The 27-year-old is entering his fifth season in the NFL, and was selected by the Raiders with the fifth overall pick in the 2014 NFL draft. The 2016 NFL Defensive Player of the Year has stared all 64 games throughout his career in Oakland, and recorded 10.5 sacks and 61 tackles last season.
The Raiders can fine him more than $84,000 for not reporting for minicamp — which starts on Tuesday. Training camp for the Raiders starts next month, which could be something to keep an eye on if Mack doesn’t land the deal he wants before then.
