Raiders CB wonders if Browns' J.C. Tretter being president of NFLPA contributed to postponement
There were players on teams that didn't have a COVID-19 outbreak that weren't happy their games this week were postponed.
The NFL postponed three games due to COVID-19 outbreaks on the Cleveland Browns, Los Angeles Rams and Washington Football Team. The Browns will play the Las Vegas Raiders on Monday, and the Rams-Seattle Seahawks and WFT-Philadelphia Eagles games were moved to Tuesday.
Not everyone was happy. The most specific criticism came from Raiders cornerback Casey Hayward, who wondered if the Browns were given a break because J.C. Tretter, the NFLPA president, is Cleveland's center.
I’m sure the @NFLPA president playing for the Browns didn’t have any effect on these negotiations… pic.twitter.com/MZ95eVyOiz

Other players, like Raiders LB K.J. Wright and Seahawks S Quandre Diggs, were upset too.
I pay my player dues just to get lied to and the rules bent! @NFL @NFLPA
If it was the other way around I swear we would be playing tomorrow— KJ (@KJ_WRIGHT34) December 17, 2021

The postponement will allow players from the Browns, Rams and WFT to be cleared. All three of those teams had more than 20 players on the COVID-19 list.
There were plenty of debates about the NFL's words during the summer about possible postponements. A memo sent over the summer said there wouldn't be postponements due to a team losing multiple players at a certain position, though the league did allow for the possibility of moving a game due to medical reasons.
Many Eagles players reacted to the news:
Damn I thought the team would have to forfeit!!! This crazy🤦🏾♂️
