Miami Dolphins' Raheem Mostert (chest) out vs. Bills; De'Von Achane status up on the air

MIAMI GARDENS — Miami Dolphins running back De'Von Achane has an ankle injury and Raheem Mostert has a chest injury.

Will Achane and/or Mostert miss the Dolphins' Thursday night game vs. the Buffalo Bills?

Mostert is out, coach Mike McDaniel said Wednesday.

Mostert played through an injury not many people would have.

"He gave his teammates another example of how he's built differently," McDaniel said, adding it could be a week or could be bit longer.

We'll see on Achane, McDaniel said.

"There are several guys we'll be feeling out and go from there," McDaniel said.

Achane appeared to be moving well in the portion of Wednesday's practice open to media.

The Dolphins have good depth at running back, with veteran Jeff Wilson, who helped close out a defeat of the Jaguars on Sunday, and Jaylen Wright, an impressive rookie who was a healthy scratch.

Other Dolphins who appeared on the injury report this week include Malik Washington (quadricep), Liam Eichenberg (shoulder), Jaelan Phillips (Achilles), Jalen Ramsey (hamstring) and David Long (finger).

"Eichenberg is always OK," McDaniel said.

The biggest Bills' injuries are cornerback Taron Johnson (forearm), which will probably take him out of the game and quarterback Josh Allen (non-throwing hand) who is supposedly fine.

Did Tyreek Hill have knee surgery?

McDaniel confirmed Hill had a minor knee procedure in the offseason.
