What quarterbacks could the Cleveland Browns face during 2024 schedule? Some of the best.

The schedule is finally out for the Cleveland Browns. The teams they've known for months they were playing, they now know what order they're going to play them as well.

In the NFL, though, it's not just about the teams you're facing. It's very much also about the quarterbacks you face that can dictate whether that opponent is good or bad.

With the draft, the initial wave of free agency and now the schedule release all completed, it's a great time to go through an look at what quarterbacks the Browns could face. This is, obviously, assuming good health for the quarterbacks, which is an assumption that's proven wrong a number of times in recent years.

Here's a look at the Browns schedule by expected starting quarterbacks:

Week 1: Dak Prescott, home vs. Dallas Cowboys

The best quarterback in this game will be in the Fox broadcast booth, as Tom Brady makes his regular-season broadcasting debut. Still, Prescott played at an MVP level last season. Of course, it ended like so many Cowboys seasons have ended, with a opening-game loss in the playoffs.

Week 2: Trevor Lawrence, at Jacksonville Jaguars

The last time the Browns saw Lawrence, he was less than a week removed from what had been termed a high-ankle sprain. The former No. 1 overall pick, who is due for a contract extension at some point, should be healthy for this one.

Week 3: Daniel Jones, home vs. New York Giants

Not even a lot of Giants fans can believe Jones will likely still be the starting quarterback in this game.

Week 4: Gardner Minshew, at Las Vegas Raiders

Minshew almost beat the Browns last year with the Indianapolis Colts. Of course, he may also still have nightmares of what Myles Garrett did to him.

Week 5: Jayden Daniels, at Washington Commanders

Daniels was the No. 2 pick in last month's draft. The LSU product is elusive and dangerous with the football in his hands, both as a runner and a passer. He may need those legs in his introduction to Garrett and Co.

Week 6: Jalen Hurts, at Philadelphia Eagles

Which Hurts will it be for the Eagles? The one from two years ago could be trouble for the Browns. The one from the stretch run of last season could be trouble for Philadelphia.

Week 7: Joe Burrow, home vs. Cincinnati Bengals

Do you think Burrow breaks out into hives when he thinks about playing at Cleveland Browns Stadium? For all of his greatness, the combination of playing in Cleveland and facing the likes of Garrett has gotten to one of the three best quarterbacks in the game.

Week 8: Lamar Jackson, home vs. Baltimore Ravens

A healthy Lamar Jackson is a problem for any defense, even one as good as the Browns. Just ask Cleveland's defense about the last time they faced him on the lakefront.

Week 9: Justin Herbert, home vs. Los Angeles Chargers

Herbert's had good success against the Browns in his career. How much does Jim Harbaugh as his coach change the way he gets to play?

Week 10: Bye week

Everybody on the Browns gets to play Monday Morning Quarterback on all of the quarterbacks playing while they get a midseason break.

Week 11: Derek Carr, at New Orleans Saints

Good Derek Carr is good enough to lead a team to the playoffs. The Browns can't let Good Derek Carr get going.

Week 12: Russell Wilson, home vs. Pittsburgh Steelers (Thursday Night Football)

This is an assumption, because it might be Justin Fields' time at quarterback by this point in the season. If it's Wilson, the Browns can't let happen what happened a year ago while he was with the Denver Broncos.

Week 13: Bo Nix, at Denver Broncos (Monday Night Football)

It's Bo Nix. No, seriously. It's Bo Nix.

Week 14: Russell Wilson, at Pittsburgh Steelers

What was true two games earlier remains true now for either Wilson or, again, if it's Fields.

Week 15: Patrick Mahomes, home vs. Kansas City Chiefs

If you really need this one explained, the only assumption may be that you just teleported in from another planet.

Week 16: Joe Burrow, at Cincinnati Bengals (Thursday Night Football)

Burrow in Cincinnati is much different than Burrow in Cleveland. So, too, is the way he plays in December compared to the first half of the season. Significantly different.

Week 17: Tua Tagovailoa, home vs. Miami Dolphins (Sunday Night Football)

Allow the Counting Crows to sum up Tagovailoa: "A long December and there's reason to believe/Maybe this year will be better than the last."

Week 18: Lamar Jackson, at Baltimore Ravens

Depending on how the first 16 games go, this might not even be Jackson starting in this game. If not, backup Malik Cunningham is, like Jackson, a dynamic quarterback from the University of Louisville.
