Nashville Predators add more to COVID list, recall four players, two coaches from AHL
The Nashville Predators sent an SOS to Milwaukee on Thursday, a day after five players, four coaches and two other members of the organization were put on the NHL's COVID-19 protocol list, including head coach John Hynes.
The team added two more to the list Thursday — assistant coach Dan Hinote, who was going to act as head coach, and forward Nick Cousins.
Forwards Rocco Grimaldi, Cody Glass, Mathieu Olivier and Cole Smith were recalled from the Milwaukee Admirals, along with head coach Karl Taylor and assistant coach Scott Ford ahead of Thursday's game against the Colorado Avalanche at Bridgestone Arena.
Taylor will act as head coach Thursday. Assistant general manager Scott Nichol also will help coach the team
Ryan Johansen was placed on the protocol list before Sunday's game against the New York Rangers. Forwards Mikael Granlund, Matt Luff, Michael McCarron and Philip Tomasino as well as defenseman Ben Harpur were placed on the list Wednesday, along with six others, including four coaches — Hynes, assistants Dan Lambert and Todd Richards and goaltending coach Ben Vanderklok.

The Predators were one of several teams to experience an outbreak this week, prompting the league to enhance its COVID protocols through at least Jan. 7.
The Predators' game Tuesday against the Calgary Flames was postponed. They have 27 members of their organization in protocol.
Being placed on the protocol list doesn't mean a person has tested positive.
The Predators have won five games in a row.
