MATT HARMON: Scott, just kind of give-- for those who are not familiar, I think almost everybody knows. OK, if you've heard of Superflex, it's-- you can play a quarterback in the flex. But what are some of the high-level things people need to know from a strategy perspective about Superflex and playing that format?

SCOTT PIANOWSKI: I love Superflex. It's basically, if you play in a Superflex league, it's really a two-quarterback league in the sense that you're going to want two quarterbacks every week. You're going have one static quarterback. The position is quarterback. You have to play quarterback. And then you're going to have that one flex spot where you can play anybody. You can play quarterback, running back, wide receiver, tight end. You're going to want to play a quarterback the way most leagues score.

My general Superflex build is going to be two really solid guys. I might go something like-- something like Lawrence and Daniel Jones would be a dream for me because in a basic league, nobody cares about Kenny Pickett, or Brock Purdy, or Matthew Stafford anymore, sadly, or Sam Howell, or Mac Jones, Ryan Tannehill, Desmond Ridder, all these guys.

Standard league, those guys are on the bench. In Superflex, you're asking yourself, who could be quietly-- because now, anybody outside the top 20, a quarterback who can get into quarterback 11, quarterback 13, quarterback 15. That's a win in Superflex. I can't believe I'm going two say, because I hate their receiver room. I think Mac Jones is going to surprise people this year because they have an adult in the room. The Patricia thing is over. Bill O'Brien's a good coach. Maybe Mac Jones wasn't the guy we thought he was right away, but he can't be as bad as he was last year.

I think he's set up to succeed this year. If Purdy is healthy, man, he's got all the toys. Now, unfortunately, they're going to run the ball a lot and they're going to have a good defense. But it's such a fun offense. Can Kenny Pickett take a step forward? Pickens, Freiermuth, that's an interesting offense. Kenny Pickett is made for the Superflex format.

MATT HARMON: The three most valuable players in warp and wins over replacement for Superflex leagues last year. I'm looking at one of mine. It was Pat Mahomes, it was Josh Allen, it was Jalen Hurts. And they were up there with league-winning players like Justin Jefferson and Austin Ekeler, who were 4 and 5. They were worth two wins over replacement.

But the other guys that are interesting, like 14th overall, was Trevor Lawrence, who was not drafted super high last year, but was relatively late. But take Geno Smith at 18th overall, Justin Fields who went pretty late at 20th overall, Kirk Cousins 19th overall, Daniel Jones 21st overall. I like a lot of the guys mentioned there. Mac Jones, I think, is the spiciest one. Mac Jones could be the Jared Goff of this year, right? Obviously, Purdy. I kind of think Purdy, now that we know he's going to play, and he's going to start week one, he should be ranked ahead of Matt Stafford.

He should be ranked ahead of Russell Wilson. He should be ranked ahead of Derek Carr. So I'm not necessarily trying to draft as my QB2 in Superflex the Jared Goff, or the Derek Carr. I'm trying to draft the next guy of that, who could become that player. And even if, again, in a best-case scenario, Mac Jones is Jared Goff, you're taking him so late. So that's why he's interesting in that format.
