Players with Indiana connections named to McDonald's All American teams

An Indiana basketball signee, another Hoosiers target and an IndyStar Mr. Basketball candidate are among the players named for the McDonald's All American Game.

The event featuring many of the nation's best high school seniors is scheduled for April 2 in Houston.

IU commit Liam McNeeley, a 6-8 sharpshooter from Monteverde Academy in Florida, will play for the East. He is averaging 13.3 points per game on an undefeated squad that includes Cooper Flagg, the nation's No. 1 recruit who is headed to Duke.

Another Monteverde player who is an IU recruiting target, post player Derik Queen, was also named to the McDonald's East team. The 6-10 Queen, averaging 16.3 points and 7.1 rebounds per game, is also being recruited by Maryland, Kansas and Houston.

Kokomo's Flory Bidunga was named to the West team. The 6-9 Kansas recruit averages 17.9 points, 12.9 rebounds and 4.3 blocked shots per game for the Class 4A No. 9 Wildkats (14-3).

On the girls side, Kate Koval of Long Island Lutheran is committed to Notre Dame.
