Even though Los Angeles Lakers star forward LeBron James might not want to admit it, he owes a debt to the Boston Celtics in the era when they were helmed by Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce, and Ray Allen. In what many would call the NBA's first superteam of the modern era, the Celtics created the mold that LeBron would use in forming the so-called "Heatles" of himself, Chris Bosh, and Dwyane Wade on the Miami Heat soon after Boston won their 17th banner back in 2008.

Not too long ago, Pierce made an appearance with the eponymous host of the "Draymond Green" show, the Truth linking up with the Golden State Warriors star big man to talk about how Boston set the mold for Miami to follow later on.

Take a look at the clip embedded below to hear what they had to say about the Celtics as the first NBA superteam.
