There is always something a little extra when a team signs with a division foe. This is the case for Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker Patrick Queen. Queen signed a huge free-agent contract with the Steelers after spending his first four NFL seasons with the Baltimore Ravens.

Queen had a career year in 2023 playing next to Roquan Smith and now he hopes to be a Smith-type of player in a lead role with the Steelers. It is clear there is no love lost between Smith and Queen.

Smith went on the The Ravens Lounge Podcast and he offered up a rather ominous warning to Queen when the Steelers and Ravens square off this season.

"He's on the other side of the ball, so it's kind of hard for me to have anything to do with it. That'll be more of [Tyler] Linderbaum, D-Hen [Derrick Henry], Mark [Andrews], that'll be able to get after him," Smith said. "But I have a great deal of respect for PQ when he was here. I have much love for him. Always care for him, but definitely when we play him, he gots to get dealt with by any means necessary."

The Rivalry between the Steelers and Ravens is the best in the NFL but always grounded in respect. This season two of the best inside linebackers in the conference will square off and as former teammates you can bet both will bring a little something extra.
