Patrick Mahomes can do it all, even left-handed passes

Patrick Mahomes got his first taste of prime time on Monday, and he didn’t disappoint.

The wunderkind Kansas City Chiefs quarterback stepped into the spotlight of the AFC West rivalry with the Denver Broncos at Mile High and delivered a throw for his ever-expanding highlight reel while rallying from a fourth-quarter deficit.

With the Broncos in a full-on blitz on third down, Mahomes found himself chased by All-Pro pass rusher Von Miller. What looked like a sure sack for Miller turned into a Chiefs first down.

In case you missed it, Mahomes threw that pass to Tyreek Hill with this left hand. He’s not left-handed.

To up the difficulty level, he pulled off the ambidextrous play with Miller draped all over him.

The pass resulted in a first down on a drive that ended with the Chiefs scoring the go-ahead touchdown late in the fourth quarter of a 27-23 win.
