Carolina Panthers first-round pick Xavier Legette has run into another speed bump this offseason.

The rookie wide receiver exited Sunday's session of training camp a bit early. Head coach Dave Canales was asked about the status of the 23-year-old pass catcher following the outing.

"Yeah, it's something in his lower leg," Canales replied. "I don't wanna get into any details. We're just gonna evaluate him this afternoon as a precaution, and then we'll go from there. I'll have more information for you guys."

Legette already missed some practice time this spring due to a hamstring injury. The setback caused him to miss most of organized team activities as well as the entirety of mandatory minicamp.

While Canales confirmed Sunday's exit was not related to the same hamstring injury, he did not disclose the severity of this latest issue.

"I got no indication on it," he said. "They just kinda was like, 'Okay, he's got something goin' on.' We sent him in. I wanna keep it like that for now."
