Panthers fans not happy with team's trade of WR Diontae Johnson
Hopefully, Carolina Panthers fans didn't get too attached to wideout Diontae Johnson.
According to multiple reports from Tuesday afternoon, the team will be trading their leading receiver to the Baltimore Ravens. The deal will see Johnson and a 2025 sixth-round pick headed back to the AFC North in exchange for a 2025 fifth-round pick.
The Panthers, per Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic, will also be footing most of the remaining bill on Johnson's contract. Baltimore, per Zrebiec, will only be responsible for around $625,000—leaving Carolina with approximately $3 million to pay.
Needless to say, Panthers fans are not very happy with the return . . .
Panthers, somehow, embarrassed us fans more off the field than they do on it. And that’s saying a lot.

Just because you have to trade someone doesn't mean you have to take any trade offered to you

The Ravens, as others have reported, are sending a 2025 fifth-round pick to the Carolina Panthers for WR Diontae Johnason and a 2025 sixth-round pick.
Per sources, the Panthers are also paying down some of his salary. So Ravens will owe him about $625K rest of year.— Jeff Zrebiec (@jeffzrebiec) October 29, 2024
The Ravens' 5th rounder is currently around #158, and the Panthers' 6th rounder (first in line) is currently around #177.
So a movement of about 19 spots in order to acquire Diontae Johnson. https://t.co/3bWJz3UQJm— Nick Korte (@nickkorte) October 29, 2024
