Even with the Carolina Panthers finally giving their starters some exhibition burn on Saturday, center Austin Corbett couldn't make it to Highmark Stadium to deliver some snaps. Instead, he was busy helping deliver something (or someone) much more important.

Corbett was one of 17 players ruled out ahead of this afternoon's preseason finale against the Buffalo Bills. According to the Panthers, the seventh-year veteran was one of two hog mollies, along with left guard Damien Lewis, who did not travel with the team due to "personal reasons."

Well, thanks to a halftime update from Corbett himself, we now we know the reason . . .

Luckily, quarterback Bryce Young and the rest of Saturday's starting offense weren't doomed by Corbett's daddy duty. In his first and only possession of the 2024 preseason, Young completed six of his eight passing attempts for 70 yards and a touchdown in leading the Panthers to a sharp 12-play, 85-yard drive.
