Packers running back AJ Dillon and his wife Gabrielle announce the birth of their son
The Quadfather is a now a father.
Green Bay Packers running back AJ Dillon and his wife Gabrielle announced on Wednesday evening the birth of their son, Algiers "Trey" Dillon III.
Trey Dillon was born on Tuesday, May 2, the same day AJ turned 25.
AJ's birth name is Algiers Jameal William Dillon Jr.
In a joint Instagram post, AJ and Gabrielle included two black and white photos of their expanded family: one image featured them in their hospital room with their newborn and the other was of Trey wrapped up inside a hospital bassinet. In the caption they wrote: "Algiers Dillon III 'Trey' born May 2 2023, we are so blessed!"
They also shared their joy in separate Instagram stories Wednesday night. AJ wrote in his story with an image of him holding Trey, "Birthday Twins." Gabrielle's post with the same image read "My May 2nd boys. My hear has never been so full."
One "report" missing is whether Baby Trey has taken after his dad in one aspect that could be critical if we have another future bruising running back in the works: his legs. AJ is well known for the size of his legs, nicknaming one Quadzilla and the other The Quadfather.
Packers, sports world reacts to birth of AJ and Gabrielle Dillon's first born
Congratulatory messages poured in from the sports world, including from Packers teammates Keisean Nixon, Kenny Clark, Preston Smith and Mason Crosby, as well as former Packers Allen Lazard, Krys Barnes, Tim Boyle and Lucas Patrick.
Seven-time Olympic medalist gymnast Simone Biles, and Gabriella Watt, wife of former Wisconsin standout Derek Watt, also offered their congratulations as did Wisconsin comedian Charlie Berens, Sam and Olivia Harlan Dekker.
Baby Dillon born a year after AJ and Gabrielle married in Door County
AJ and Gabrielle announced on Nov. 30 that they were expecting their first child with a series of ultrasound photos and the caption "Dillon, party of 3." Gabrielle highlighted stages of her pregnancy on her Instagram account over the last several months.
AJ and Gabrielle married in a picturesque Door County wedding in June 2022, at the home of Gabrielle's parents in Egg Harbor.
The two met in 2020 after the Packers selected AJ in the second round of that year's NFL draft. Gabrielle grew up in the Green Bay area and is an Ashwaubenon High School graduate.
They became engaged in September 2021 on the family dock in Egg Harbor, where their wedding would later be held.

Besides a football playbook AJ can read to Trey one day, one book that is likely waiting for them in the nursery is his own.
AJ authored a children's book titled "Quadzilla Finds His Footing" this offseason.
