Packers legend Brett Favre endorses President Donald Trump: 'My vote is for what makes this country great'
Green Bay Packers legend Brett Favre wants four more years of Donald Trump. Favre officially endorsed Trump on Friday. The quarterback said he will vote “for what makes this country great.”
Favre, 51, said Trump’s vision aligns most with Favre’s “principles.”

Favre tagged Trump at the end of the tweet, and included the “Vote” hashtag.
Trump responded to the endorsement, calling it a “great honor.”

This is the first time Favre has officially endorsed Trump for president. It’s unclear whether Favre supported Trump in 2016.
Brett Favre could be trying to rally voters in Wisconsin
Favre’s endorsement could be his way of trying to influence voters in Wisconsin. Favre spent 16 seasons in Green Bay, and still carries a lot of clout within Wisconsin. It’s expected to be a tight race in the state, though Joe Biden may have a slight lead, according to FiveThirtyEight. Trump narrowly won Wisconsin over Hillary Clinton in 2016.
Favre’s individual vote won’t have an impact on that race, as Favre lives in Mississippi. Trump won Mississippi in 2016 and is expected to win the state again in 2020.
Favre is not the only athlete to endorse Trump in 2020. Golfers John Daly and Jack Nicklaus have also come out in support of Trump.
